Down JacketUpdated 15 days ago

Our down jackets combine high-performance technical materials, premium fillings, and impeccable finishes. To preserve their warmth, lightness, and appearance season after season, proper care is essential.

Washing and caring for the outer shell

The outer shell of the down jacket, made from technical fabrics and water-repellent textiles, requires delicate care to maintain its loft, thermal performance and original appearance.

For optimal washing, we recommend the following:

1. Remove all animal components

Fur trims, leather, shearling, hood linings or borders must never come into contact with water. Remove these elements before any cleaning.

2. Favour hand washing

Please follow the care instructions provided on your down jacket’s label. If unavailable, opt for hand washing in cold water using a detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics or down-filled garments.

3. Press without wringing

After rinsing, gently press the outer fabric to remove excess water, without twisting or wringing, in order to protect the fibres and avoid damaging the down compartments.

4. Slow, natural drying

Dry flat on an absorbent towel. Allow the jacket to dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and any source of heat (heating systems, hairdryer, tumble dryer, or direct sun exposure). This slow drying process prevents deformation and helps the filling recover its natural loft.

Caring for the filling and animal components

Down or feather filling :

Avoid prolonged humidity. Complete natural drying is essential to prevent feather clumping, loss of loft or the development of odours.

Fur, leather and shearling :

Always entrust these materials to a specialist trained in cleaning animal fibres. Absolutely avoid water, melting snow, prolonged moisture, and any contact with lotions, perfumes or cosmetic products.

These natural materials require expert handling to maintain their softness, suppleness and radiance.

Everyday precautions :

  • Store your down jacket on a wide, sturdy hanger to preserve its shape and volume.
  • After exposure to rain or snow, allow it to air-dry naturally, away from any heat source.
  • Avoid repeated friction against rough surfaces, which may prematurely wear the technical fabrics or the filling.
