ParkaUpdated 16 days ago

Our parkas combine noble materials, technical components, and carefully crafted finishes. To preserve comfort, performance, and elegance season after season, proper care is essential.

Washing and caring for the shell:

The shell of the parka — the non-animal textile part — requires gentle cleaning to maintain its structure, properties, and original appearance.

For optimal washing, we recommend:

  • Removing all animal components: fur trims, leather, shearling, linings, hood borders, or hood interiors. These natural elements should never be exposed to water.
  • Hand-washing in cold water using a detergent specifically formulated for delicate garments. Machine washing, even on a gentle cycle, is not recommended to ensure the longevity of the piece.
  • Gently pressing the material — without twisting or wringing — to remove excess water.
  • Drying the parka flat, ideally on an absorbent cotton towel, and allowing it to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and any heat source (radiator, hairdryer, tumble dryer, sunlight, or drying cabinet). This slow, natural drying process helps preserve the structure of the parka and prevents any deformation.

Caring for the animal components: fur, leather, shearling

  • Always entrust fur and leather to a qualified specialist experienced in cleaning animal materials. Their expertise is crucial to avoid drying, matting, or damaging the fibers.
  • Avoid exposure to water, persistent snow, humidity, and cosmetic products (creams, lotions, perfumes), which may stain, weigh down, or damage these delicate materials.

Everyday precautions

  • Store your parka on a wide, sturdy hanger to maintain its volume and prevent pronounced creases.
  • Always allow it to air dry after exposure to moisture, keeping it away from any heat source.
  • Avoid repeated friction with rough materials, which can prematurely wear down technical fabrics.
